How your information is used.
This site collects the information submitted through the inquiry form so North Consulting can respond and follow up. It also uses analytics to understand how the site is used. Marketing emails are sent only when you select the separate optional checkbox. Your details are not sold or shared for anyone else's marketing.
The inquiry form
When you submit the form, your name, email address, message, and any optional details you provide are stored so we can review the inquiry, reply, and follow up about the project. This use is explained on the form before it is submitted.
Inquiry information is kept for as long as it is reasonably needed to respond, manage an active or potential working relationship, maintain appropriate business records, or meet legal obligations. You can email us to ask what information we hold about you or to request a correction or deletion.
The mailing list
The inquiry form includes a separate optional checkbox for occasional North Consulting updates. It is unchecked by default and is not required to submit an inquiry. If you select it, we record the choice and the date it was made.
You can unsubscribe through an email link or by replying and asking to be removed. Leaving the mailing list does not affect an inquiry or working relationship.
Analytics
This site uses a first-party visit counter to understand which pages are viewed and where visits come from. It may record the page, the referring site, the country, the device type, and a daily pseudonymous identifier. The counter does not set a cookie or store a raw IP address, and it stores nothing on your device.
The site also uses Google Analytics for site measurement, separate from the counter above. Advertising storage, advertising user data, and advertising personalization are disabled in this site's configuration, and IP addresses are anonymized. Google Analytics may set analytics cookies, which visitors can block through their browser or Google's opt-out tools.
Who processes the data
Inquiries are stored in a Supabase database and read through a private application behind a secure owner login. The website is hosted on Vercel. Both providers process data on our behalf and may do so outside Canada. Typefaces are served from this site itself, so a page view makes no request to a font provider.
What this site does not do
- No advertising, retargeting or ad-tracking pixels.
- No selling or renting your details.
- No mailing list unless you select the checkbox.
- No pre-selected consent boxes.
- No visitor accounts, logins or passwords.
